Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on January 1st, 2020, has started the new year spending time with an elephant calf in the Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden.

Suklabaidya, who visited the state Zoo today morning, spent some quality time with the elephant calf and the officials. “Glad to visit Assam state zoo to make a beautiful start to 2020 and spend some quality time with a very younger elephant and an elder one inside the zoo campus,” he tweeted.

He also wished luck to the officials for their responsibilities towards nature and the wildlife. “I also interacted and greeted the senior officials of Assam Forest Department & wished them luck for their duties & responsibilities towards mother nature & wildlife of Assam,” the minister added.

The Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, while wishing the people of the state on the occasion of the New Year, appealed the people of the state to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony. He urged the people to dedicatedly contribute to form a better society.
