Physical fitness for lifelong good health is something that everyone needs to swear by. But to achieve a healthy body one needs to eat healthily and live in a healthy environment.

As the Swachhata Diwas is going on, an initiative by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, famous Assamese actress Zerifa Wahid taking part in the initiative shared her three tips for a healthy body and mind.

In a video, tweeted by Swachh Bharat Mission – Gramin, Assam, the actress said that she starts her day by doing some sort of exercises as she believes in staying fit and healthy.

She appeals to the people to stay healthy by following her three fitness tips. She says, “Firstly, everyone should eat healthy and not overeat, secondly, stay happy and lastly and the most important mantra is to stay in a safe and clean environment.”

“If we don’t live in a clean environment, eating healthy food and doing exercises is meaningless. Keeping our environment clean shouldn’t be just our responsibility but it should be a part of our lives because a clean environment will keep a society fit and healthy,” Zerifa added.

Further, she appealed everyone to participate in the Swachh Bharat Mission for a clean and better India.

It may be mentioned, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched on October 2nd, 2014 to eradicate open defecation by October 2nd, 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by constructing 90 million toilets in rural India.
