Tinsukia: One hardcore cadre of an outlawed outfit ULFA-I has surrendered before the police in Tinsukia district of Assam. An active member of the outfit, Indrajit Gogoi alias Tej Asom surrendered with arms before the Tinsukia police on July 18th, 2019.

One 9mm pistol, one magazine and five live bullets were recovered from Indrajit’s possession. He is a resident of Bosagaon under Sadiya Tehsil of Tinsukia district.

It may be mentioned that in the last 72 hours, around six ULFA-I cadres have been arrested by the security forces from several parts of Assam giving a major blow to the outfit.

On July 18th, 2019 three hardcore cadres of the banned outfit named self-styled Sergent Major Nirav Handique alias Jaydeep Moran, Karunjyoti Chetia alias Uddipan Asom and Palash Das alias Latumoni Asom surrendered before the police in Tinsukia district of Assam.
