India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane who is currently away from the international cricket series is gearing up for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Rahane might be away from the limelight but grabbed a crazy amount of attention for his recent Tweet. He was seen indulging in some desi khana—‘Vada Pav’ and roped in social media users to know how their take on how they like the delicacy with three choices.
The dish generally consists of a deep-fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun sliced almost in half through the middle. It is basically consumed with chutneys and green chilly pepper.
Not just the netizens, the former captain Sachin Tendulkar too had a reply to how he loves to have his ‘Vada Pav’. He said, “I like my Vada Pav with red chutney, very little green chutney & some imli chutney to make the combination even better”.
Twitteratis could not keep calm and had interesting comments for the ‘god of cricket’.
Rahane last was part India’s white-ball assignment when the national team toured South Africa for the 6-match ODI series in 2018. He plays primarily as a middle-order batsman in the Test format and as a top-order batsman in white-ball forms of the game.
