Churaibari Police on November 4th, 2019 arrested three Nigerian nationals including a woman in Karimganj district of Assam. The trio could not produce legal documents of their identity.

As per information available, the three were arrested while on their way from Tripura to Guwahati. They were traveling by a bus named Sherawali Travels.

The police informed that the three of them failed to provide any valid documents supporting their entry into the Indian territory. The arrestees claimed to have entered the country via Tripura after crossing the Indo-Bangla border.

“We have seized five mobile phones from their possession. We will further probe the matter with the help of these phones,” a police official informed Time8.
