Assam Tourism collaborates with the Ministry of Tourism

The Assam Tourism Department in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism on February 7th, 2020 organized a roadshow in Aloft the Mariott, Bengaluru.

The roadshow had a fruitful business to business between tourism operators of Assam and the tour operators/hoteliers/stakeholders of Karnataka and it’s neighbouring states in the South.

Mass Opposition

After prominent personalities from the Film Fraternity and Intellectuals voiced their opposition against organizing the Filmfare Awards ceremony in Guwahati, Chief advisor of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Samujjal Bhattacharjya opposed the ceremony.

The AASU advisor said that the event has been organised in a bid to divert the attention of the public from anti-CAA agitations by the government.

He said that they are not against any of the artistes from Mumbai and government spending Rs 30 crore for a private event rather than doing the least for the upliftment of the filmmakers of Assam.
