President Kovind To Begin His 3-Day Tour To Meghalaya, Sikkim From Nov 2

In view of the visit of the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind to Shillong, normal traffic will be affected on November 2nd and November 4th, 2019


President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Meghalaya and Sikkim from November 2nd to 4th, 2019.

As per information, President Kovind will grace the 5th convocation of Sikkim University in Gangtok on November 3rd, 2019. He will attend the 26th convocation of the North-Eastern Hill University in Shillong on November 4th, 2019.

Shillong Police has issued a traffic advisory following the visit of the President. The normal traffic flow will be affected from 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm on November 2nd, 2019 due to the mock drill which will be conducted in view of the visiting VVIP to Shillong. The same exercise will be carried out from 9 am to 12 pm on November 4th, 2019.

“However, all types of Emergency Services will not be affected by the said exercise. Therefore, request all the motorists to avoid travelling in the main roads of Shillong city during the said period of date and time. Inconvenience caused is regretted,” Shillong Traffic Police wrote on Facebook.
