    Prateek Hajela Denies Shiladitya’s Allegation On Inclusion Of Declared Foreigner’s Name In NRC

    Guwahati, July 30, 2019

    The state coordinator for National Register of Citizen (NRC), Prateek Hajela on July 30th, 2019, said that the allegation brought by BJP’s Hojai legislator Shiladitya Dev about the inclusion of one declared foreigner’s name in the draft NRC is completely false.

    “It is learnt that Shiladitya Dev, MLA, Hojai has held a press meet wherein it’s alleged that one Declared Foreigner, namely, Abdul Hannan son of late Nimar Ali who is a detenue in a Detention Camp located in Tezpur has been included in Draft NRC. In this regard, clarification is hereby issued that this person has not been included in Draft NRC on account of being a Declared Foreigner. The allegation is completely false,” NRC coordinator stated in its official Facebook page.

    Dev, earlier on July 30th, 2019, alleged that one declared foreigner – Abdul Hannan, son of Nimar Ali, has been included in Draft NRC. He further said that the NRC is not cent per cent correct.
