A man from Bilasipara, Dhubri has tested been tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the person has a history of being in touch with another patient who was part of Athgaon Majid congregation in Guwahati.

The total number of cases in Assam is 35 now.

In the past week, there were no reports of any new cases and as many as 18 patients were even cured.
