Ambulance Breaks Down On Road In Guwahati, Locals Come To Rescue

A group of pedestrians came forward and dragged the vehicle from the clogged roads and helped it reach GMCH


In a heartwarming gesture, a group of pedestrians manually pushed an ambulance, that broke down on the GS Road in Guwahati, one of the busiest junctions of the city, suddenly on November 18th, 2019.

As per information available, the vehicle was moving towards the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) when it broke down at Christian Basti in the afternoon hours. The ambulance was coming from Karbi Anglong district and was carrying a dead body.

The engine of the vehicle stopped suddenly and it did not start even after repeated attempts by the driver to start the engine resulting in a traffic jam for a few minutes. The driver and the relatives of the deceased got helpless and enquired about a way out to reach the GMCH.

A group of locals came forward, attempted to clear the traffic and helped the driver push the vehicle to the GMCH. The ambulance reached the GMCH at the time of filing of this news.
