The Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, TG Sitharam and the deans of the institute are under the eye of a storm after a police complaint was registered against them by a research scholar alleging ‘misuse of public funds’ and ‘criminal breach of trust by public servants’.
Reports stated that the complainant, Vikrant Singh alleged the top officials of ‘misusing their power’ by organizing a meeting in a luxury hotel in Guwahati a few months back near to the institute, despite the campus facilities, the bills of which were paid from the college funds.
