Neeti Mohan Enthrals Crowd With Assamese Track At Dwijing Fest

Thousands of viewers gathered for the concert as the singer continued to enthral the crowd with hit tracks


Popular Bollywood playback singer Neeti Mohan best known for high pitched and jazzy songs this time mesmerized the crowd at the on-going Dwijing Fest in Chirang district of Assam.

After belting out a series of foot-tapping numbers, the singer surprised her fans with soulful rendition of a popular Assamese track— ‘Tuk Dekhi mur ga’. The crowd eloquently responded to the sound of the dhol and Pepa played like a symphony to the song as claps and cheers reverberated the banks of River Aie.

Thousands of viewers, most of the fans gathered for the concert as she continued to enthral the crowd with hit tracks.

A Delhiite and winner of Channel V’s reality show, Neeti rose to fame with the romantic song ‘Ishq Wala Love’ for K Jo’s movie Student of the Year. She also won Filmfare RD Burman Award under the New Music Talent category for the song.

It may be mentioned that the 12-day festival celebrating the state’s culture, heritage and promoting river tourism is organized in association with Assam Tourism and Bodoland tourism.

Over the years the festival which marks a colourful celebration of Assam’s culture has been attracting both domestic and global tourists and marking an example of cultural exchange.
