National Games 2022: Meghalaya Govt Signs Agreement With HSCL For Infra Development

The Meghalaya government on September 5th, 2019 signed an agreement with Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited for development of necessary facilities and infrastructure for the 39th National Games 2022.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma took to Twitter and mentioned that preparation for the National Games is going on in full swing. He wrote, “Our preparation for the ‘National Games 2022’ is going on in full swing with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs signing an agreement today with Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited for development of necessary facilities and infrastructure,” Sangma tweeted.

Recently Sangma also inspected the site at the Dalmagre near Tura for the construction of a multi-utility indoor stadium. The stadium is a part of the infrastructural development for the National Games.

It may be mentioned, the Chief Minister also met Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju and sought for financial assistance for conducting the National Games and also showed a presentation of the infrastructural requirement.
