Nagaland Chief Secretary Sets Up COVID-19 War Room

Nagaland has only one confirmed COVID-19 case so far


Nagaland Chief Secretary Temjen Toy has set up a Chief Secretary’s War Room in his office and appealed all the persons to actively participate in the “fight” against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a statement, Temjen Toy said that the government of Nagaland is sparing no efforts in tackling the pandemic but since it is a completely new disease, the government is struggling and learning only now on how to fight the spread and control the disease.

The chief secretary admitted that there are bound to be shortcomings and mistakes on the part of the government and other stakeholders but he assured that the government is learning each day the issue.

He further added that a set up known as the Chief Secretary’s War Room on COVID-19 has been established. The war room would store information related to the virus would be managed, analysed and further decisions on the prevention and management of the virus would be taken.
