Incessant rains have wreaked havoc in the hill state of Arunachal Pradesh causing a massive landslide that occurred along the NH-415, between the Gohpur-Tinali trijunction at around 8.45 am on July 17th, 2019 leaving two persons with serious injuries and another is feared to be trapped.
The landslide has led to a blockade of road communication in the National Highway damaging many vehicles.
Meanwhile, rescue operations are jointly carried out by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with the help of 5 excavators in the area.
The injured persons identified as Tarin Mosu(40) and Biri Tath(55) have been admitted to the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital.
No casualties have been reported so far and Chief Minister Pema Khandu visited the affected area and took stock of the situation.
