Guwahati: With the entire country, Assam also allowed the opening of dine-in restaurants on Monday, June 8 but with several new rules.
With the opening of the restaurants, the All Assam Restaurant Association (AARA) had given 50,000 restaurants guidelines on how to operate to prevent the spread of the virus. The restaurants will provide sitting to only 50 per cent of their full capacity as well as maintain minimum required staff for daily operations. Apart from these, each customer will be provided sanitizers while entering the restaurant.
The restaurants have also planned to run in a systematic manner and people will be asked to pay through cashless methods as much as possible. However, this method is yet to be seen active in a large number of eateries in the state.
Along with the restaurants, the malls in Guwahati also open which will only allow the entry of only 50 per cent of total persons into the mall and in some cases, only 40 persons at a time will be allowed to enter the malls.
The malls will opt for cashless payment methods completely as it will reduce the physical contact and also, people will not be allowed to try on any clothes that they intend to buy from such malls.
