Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Indian Olympic Association Narinder Batra hailed the launch of Hindi platform of the Olympic Channel calling it as a wonderful initiative.

Rijiju, while expressing his happiness at the recognition of Hindi as the official language at the Channel, wrote in Twitter as “I am very happy that Hindi is now an official language of the Olympic Channel. Through this medium, you can learn about India’s Olympic journey and your favourite sportsmen in Hindi. This decision will really benefit the Indian people.”

The International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Channel Hindi platform was launched on November 13^th, 2019.

Fans and the users now have the option to access the channel in Hindi as one of the 12 languages offered on the digital platform.
