A man dismayed after exclusion from the final list of the National Register of Citizens(NRC) embraced death on September 1st, 2019.
The deceased identified as Faijur Rehman was a resident of Badarpur town in Karimganj district of Assam.
As per reports, seven of the 8-member family’s name were excluded from the list published yesterday.
The family members of the deceased claimed that Rehman had submitted documents from 1960 as proof of legal residency.
‘Post the publication he had stopped communicating with any of the family. He was under tremendous anxiety and today he was recovered dead,’ said a local.
