Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani lauded the justice delivered by the court of law in Nirbhaya case.

Talking to the media in the Parliament, Irani said, “This is a strong message for every single person in this country who dares to outrage the modesty of women, who thinks that he will escape from the clutch of law after committing a heinous crime against women.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today is the day to take a pledge – that now we will not let others be fearless. Police, courts, state government, central government – everyone has to take a pledge that together we will remove the loopholes of the system and will not let this happen to any daughter in future.”
