India’s COVID-19 Tally Climbs To 24,506, 775 Deaths

The total number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in India climbed 24,506 on April 25th, 2020.

A total of 18,668 active cases and 775 fatalities have been reported so far, the Union Health Ministry said.

The Health Ministry said in its daily update said of the 775 deaths, Maharashtra reported the highest number of fatalities (301) followed by Gujarat (127)

A total of 5,062 patients have been cured and discharged, the Health Ministry informed.

It may be mentioned, the Centre allowed the opening of shops from April 25th, 2020 in residential complexes, neighbourhood, standalone shops and market complexes.

However, shops in market complexes, except those within the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities, would be allowed to open. Shops in single and multi-brand malls would also not be allowed to open anywhere.

The shops have been directed to work with 50 per cent workers and follow mandatory precautions like wearing masks and social distancing norms during the ongoing lockdown against coronavirus.
