Presenting the last full-fledged Budget in the Assam Assembly, the Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 6^th, 2020, said that the primary goal of the government is to ensure the development of each and every citizen of Assam.

 “Like Dhananjay Arjun’s single-minded focus, our sole aim has been to ensure development for each and every citizen of Assam and to ensure they felt, and found, this Government was there for them at every moment, and every sphere of their lives,” the minister tweeted.

He further said that the clarion call of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to make the state “Videshi Mukt, Durneeti Mukt, Santrashvad Mukt, and Pradushan Mukt” is now closer to reality.
