Girl Power: Two Sikkim Girls Get Selected For FIFA U-17 World Cup Camp

In a matter of pride for Sikkim, two girls from the state have been selected to join the U-17 Indian National Team for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted in India next year. The two girls, Sridevi Subba and Laxmi Thatal have been selected for the u-17 Indian National team camp for the U-17 World Cup 2020.

Subba and Thatal were selected for the national camp for the U-17 World Cup after trials at Kolkata recently. The duo will be joining the national camp and will be training with other selected players of the national u-17 World Cup for many months.

The final Indian national squad for the u-17 World Cup would be announced after many rounds of national camp and exposure trips. Subba and Thatal along with their coach Aprana Lepcha were felicitated by Sports secretary Kuber Bhandari on November 22nd, 2019 at White Hall, Gangtok.
