
A 34-seater non AC Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) bus was officially launched for the students of Cotton University on October 15th, 2019. The bus will ply on a single route on an experimental basis for a few days now.
The bus service was flagged off in presence of Bhabesh Chandra Goswami, Cotton University VC, Registrar Diganta Kumar Das, other college staff and students.

“We had bus services earlier, but it was not successful due to some technical faults. This time with the help of Vice-chancellor sir and the union we have been able to bring the services on board and we are hopeful that the students are benefited,” said Rahul Bordoloi, General Secretary, Cotton University Students’ Union while speaking to TIME8.
Bordoloi further informed that the bus services are an experimental basis for six months from October 15th, 2019 to April 14th, 2020.
The routes are:
8am(Trip 1): Bhangagarh-Ganeshguri-DHE office-Kahilipara-Betkuchi-Lalganesh-AV college-Paltanbazar-Panbazar
9:30am(Trip 2): Panbazar-Bharalu-Maligaon-Adabari-Jalukbari-GU and back to Cotton University(CU)
12:30pm(Trip 3): CU Girls Hostel-Guwahati Club-Ulubari-Ganeshguri-Last Gate-6 Mile-Gangeshguri-GCC-Chandmari-Guwahati Club-CU
3:15am(Trip 4): CU-Guwahati Club-Ulubari-Bhangagarh-Ganeshguri-DHE office-Kahilipara-Betkuchi-Lalganesh-AV College-Paltanbazar-ASTC stand.
