District Task Forces To Be Formed Against Dumpers Violating Rules In Assam

GP Singh, ADGP Law & Order, issued an order directing district police units against the dumpers plying without number plates, indicators, lights, taillights and valid documents


In a bid to deal with the issues related to dumpers, the Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, G P Singh directed all the district police units including the Guwahati Police Commissionerate to form task forces with immediate effect.

“In light of complaints received, all district police units including Guwahati Commissionerate have been directed to form task force to sort out issues related to dumpers,” GP Singh tweeted.

GP Singh issued an order against the dumper vehicles plying without number plates, indicators, lights, taillights and valid documents.

A special task force has been constituted with 10 officers headed by Additional Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon, Pankaj Kumar Kakoti. Moitrayee Deka (Deputy SP, Bongaigaon), Rudra Kalita (SDPO, Abhayapuri), Dipjyoti Neog (DTO, Bongaigaon), Manoj Kumar Basumatary, Jyoti Lahon (OC, Bongaigaon Police Station), Dhananjay Kumar Das (OC, Manikpur Police Station), Dipak Saikia (OC, Abhayapuri Police Station), Rahul Dewry (OC, Jogighopa) and Kulendra Hujuri (TSI, Bongaigaon Police Station) are in the task force.
