CRPF Jawan Kills Colleague In Assam’s Cachar

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly shot dead one of his colleagues inside the 147th Battalion camp at Kashipur in Assam’s Cachar. The incident took place on February 3rd, 2020.

The deceased has been identified as Bhimlesh Upadhyay of Bihar and the accused has been identified as Dharampal Yadav.

Surendra Kumar, another CRPF jawan, sustained severe injuries in the incident. Later, he was rushed to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for medical assistance. Police sent the body of the deceased for post mortem examination.

Cachar police, who rushed to the incident spot, arrested the accused and started an investigation into the matter. A case has also been registered against the accused.
