The COVID-19 cases in Assam have touched 350 with 4 new cases on Sunday morning taking the total number of active cases to 286.
Out of the four new cases, two are from Chirang who are lodged at the Tezpur quarantine centre while two are from Jorhat with a travel history to Chennai.
The total cases in the state now stand at 350 with 57 recovered cases and 286 active cases. The total number of deaths has been confirmed to be four with another three persons migrating to their home states.
Till Saturday morning there were 266 cases reported in Assam and by afternoon it reached 319 cases creating a very alarming situation among the citizens.
Assam in the past week has seen a very sharp rise in the cases as, within just 6 days, the total number of case rose from 100 to 316. However, the cases reported to be confirmed are in quarantine and the government has assured that there is no need to worry about these cases.
On the same issue, the health department is yet to detect the source of infection of at least 9 patients.
