8 More COVID-19 Patients Discharged Hospitals In Assam

Assam has registered 35 COVID-19 positive cases of which 27 have been discharged and one patient has died

Eight more novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients have been discharged from hospitals on April 26th, 2020, taking the total number of coronavirus recovered persons in Assam to 27.

Four patients were released from Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat and four others from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Guwahati, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa sarma said in a presser.

Till date, Assam has registered 35 COVID-19 positive cases of which 27 have been discharged and one patient has died. At present, there are seven active COVID-19 cases in the State.

“We expect to release some more COVID-19 patients by April 30th, 2020. The recovery rate in Assam so far is 77 per cent which is quite good,” Sarma said.

The health minister said that the State’s first COVID-19 case, who is a cancer patient, is still showing positive in repeated tests and is still undergoing treatment at the Silchar Medical College Hospital.
