Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal urged the engineers to come up with innovative and sustainable practices in construction to stay ahead in the competition.

Sonowal inaugurated Seminar cum Exhibition on Modern Technologies and Construction Materials with Assam Public Words Department (PWD) Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on November 23rd, 2019. Sonowal also unveiled a souvenir to commemorate the occasion. The event was organised by the PWD.

“Connectivity plays an important role in bringing development to a region. I urge our engineers and officials to network with the best minds in the business to come up with innovative and sustainable practices in construction,” Sonowal said.

“The event will go a long way in apprising the public on best practices and modern technologies in the sphere of construction machinery, materials and management,” the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister also urged Sarma to set up a Contractor Skill Development Centre in Guwahati to provide them with necessary skills. “In this age of competition, it is imperative that we give our best,” he added.
