
In a bid to give a fillip to the health scenario in Majuli, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on November 12th, 2019, inaugurated a 200-bedded model hospital at Jengraimukh.
“The 200-bedded hospital with all modern facilities brings a new dawn for healthcare in the area,” CM Sonowal said while highlighting the government’s continuous effort to provide modern facilities to all section of the society.
“I urge the people of Jengraimukh to avail the services and treat the hospital as their own to make it a successful Model healthcare centre,” Sonowal added.
Besides, stressing on cleanliness, Sonowal said, “We have to keep the beautiful island district clean, green and pure. With brotherhood and harmony, let Majuli, the land of peace, be the home away from home for all visitors.”
As part of the program, the CM ceremonially distributed power tillers, fashion design machines, water filters, mobile tablets and sport uniform kits among the beneficiaries.
On November 11th, 2019, Sonowal inaugurated the Rass Festival at Majuli and urged the people of the state to build a society based on spirituality and moral values.
