China’s Latest Sky Map Allegedly Claims Arunachal To Be A Part Of It

The Ministry of Home Affairs is yet to make an official reaction on this


In another incident amidst the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, a report has claimed that China in an updated Sky Map has included some parts of Arunachal Pradesh as part of China.

As per some reports, the Sky Map update that is under Beijing’s National Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Bureau updated the latest map on the country’s borders but this update claimed some areas of Arunachal to be a part of China.

The country border of China is based on a 1989 Sky Map and was kept the same since that year but in a recent map, it reportedly saw the inclusion of Arunachal Pradesh.

As per claims, China claims Arunachal Pradesh as a part of Tibet.

There have been several standoffs between India and China regarding parts of Indian territory in the past. One of the most recent controversies was related to the Doklam issue.

However, following this, there is yet to be an official reaction by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
