
The theme song of the world heritage site Kaziranga National Park (KNP) was officially launched by Assam Water Resource Minister Keshab Mahanta at an event at Kohora.
A production of KNP, the song is sung by a college student Mridusmita Gogoi and sponsored by Assam State Biodiversity Board (ASBB). The video has been shot in different locations of the park.
The 5:55 video song which has also been released on YouTube features Mridusmita, mesmerizing landscapes of KNP, bountiful flora and fauna, the great one-horned rhinoceros, deers, migratory birds and so on.
Speaking with the media the minister said that the song will be a channel to aware people on conservation of Kaziranga.
Mridusmita Gogoi is a 16-year-old class XI standard student from the fringe village of Kaziranga National Park. The self-taught singer/lyricist is the Brand Ambassador of Assam State Biodiversity Board.
