A devastating inferno broke out near the Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati’s Bhangagarh in the afternoon hours of December 26th, 2019.

As per initial reports, the fire broke out at in a sweetmeat shop named Gunjan Sweets and later spread to the entire building. Most of the essentials were reduced to ashes within seconds.

The staff members of the hospital and locals tried to douse the rising flames till the fire-fighters reached the spot. As many as three fire brigades were rushed to the spot.

No casualties or injuries have been reported till the filing of this report. An LPG cylinder blast is said to be the reason behind the fire.
