Disgruntled Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia finally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on March 11th, 2020.
He joined the saffron party in presence of BJP president J P Nadda at Party headquarters.
After serving for 18-year, Scindia resigned from the Congress on March 10th, 2020. Following him, 22 Congress MLAs have tendered their resignations in Madhya Pradesh.
In his registration letter, Scindia said he is resigning from the primary membership of the party because he is not able to serve the people of Madhya Pradesh and India.
In his resignation letter, which is dated March 9th, 2020, to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Scindia said, “It’s time for me to move on.” He also said that he will look ahead for a fresh start to meet the aspirations of the people.
The 15-month-old Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh is tottering on the brink of a collapse.
