A prisoner was recovered dead under mysterious circumstances lodged at Silchar Central Jail on November 28th, 2019. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Das.
He was a resident of Udharbandh in the Silchar Lok Sabha constituency.
As per reports, Das was arrested a week back by the local police here in a mobile theft case.
Meanwhile, investigations are underway behind the untimely death of the prisoner.
