In a shocking incident, an Assam police officer was allegedly shot at point-blank range by his fellow colleague in Upper Assam’s Jengraimukh area.
As per initial reports, Phuloni Sub-Inspector(SI) Moon Basumatary allegedly open fired at a fellow SI Jaydeep Nath inside Jengraimukh PS on December 31st, 2019. The incident took place at around 9:40 pm.
Nath is currently undergoing treatment at Jorhat hospital.
The Jengraimukh police are yet to give an official statement about the incident.
