Guwahati: In another major blow to the Congress, MP Bhubaneswar Kalita on August 5th, 2019 has resigned from the Rajya Sabha.
Confirming the news, Kalita tweeted,I have resigned from the Rajya Sabha membership today.”
It may be mentioned that a few days back, another Rajya Sabha MP from Assam, Sanjay Singh, who is from the former Amethi royal family, had resigned from the Congress and the Upper House. Singh told media persons that he is left Congress because leadership is zero in the party.
