
A Block Development Officer (BDO) of Juria in Nagaon was suspended on Monday his alleged casual attitude in his duties during the cash distribution of Rs 1000 each to non-NFSA Ration Cardholder families in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
He was identified as Moinul Haque Choudhury and was found to be delinquent in discharging his duties during cash distribution of the relief money.
He was alleged of giving approval to a doubtful list of 200 families under Kacharigaon GP under Juria Development Block for disbursing of the cash amount without proper verification and also charged for giving approval without proper verification to the list of families including some families under Godaimari GP having link with NFSA Ration Card.
After finding these anomalies, Choudhury was suspended with immediate effect by the PNRD department.
