Assam Crosses 300 COVID-19 Cases, Total Cases Reach 319

The total number of active cases now stands at 258


The COVID-19 cases in Assam have crossed 300 with 53 new cases on Saturday afternoon taking the total number of cases to 319.

Out of the 53 cases, 44 were detected at the Sarusajai Quarantine Centre while 7 are from Dima Hasao and 2 in Cachar.

Total cases in Assam reach 319 with active cases touching 258 and four confirmed deaths.

Till Saturday morning there were 266 cases reported in Assam and by afternoon it reached 319 cases creating a very alarming situation among the citizens.

Assam in the past week has seen a very sharp rise in the cases as, within just 6 days, the total number of case rose from 100 to 316. However, the cases reported to be confirmed are in quarantine and the government has assured that there is no need to worry about these cases.

On the same issue, the health department is yet to detect the source of infection of at least 9 patients.
