Popular Assamese singer and the heartthrob of the young generation Zubeen Garg on January 7th, 2020, appealed the people to bring along the indigenous musical instruments to join the protest on January 9th, 2020.

The artistes’ fraternity led by singer Zubeen Garg will stage a protest against the newly enacted Citizenship Amendment Act on January 9, 2020, at Rotary point, Guwahati Club. The protest program has been termed as ‘Ronosinga’.

Sharing a Facebook post, the singer said that organisations representing various ethnic groups of the state wi0ll join the agitation.

It is pertinent to mention that the singer has been continuously raising voice against the act and leading the movement from the front. The anti-CAA protests hit the state on December 11th, 2019 and continue unabated across the country.
