AASU Delegation Meets SEBA Officials, Demands Error-Free HSLC, AHM Exams

A delegation of the All Assam Students’ Union(AASU) today met the senior Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) officials and submitted a memorandum demanding fair and error-free High School Leaving Certificate(HSLC) and High Madrassa (AHM) examinations.

The team also suggested that students should pass their examinations using fair means.

This year the Class 10 examinations will be held from February 10th, 2020 and continue till February 29th, 2020. A total of 3,58,446 students are going to appear for the HSLC exam to conducted in 860 centres across the state. The SEBA officials also urged the local organisations to refrain from calling strike during the examination period.

The SEBA officials, on the other hand, informed that any candidate caught cheating, carry mobile phones and disobeying invigilators, may face suspension for three years.

The officials also informed that for the first time, the invigilator along with two witnesses would check the question papers before the commencement of the exam.

It may be mentioned that the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), will be held from February 12th to March 14th, 2020.

A total of 2,34,239 candidates will appear for the exam to be conducted in 772 centres in 33 districts. All the examinations centres will be under CCTV surveillance.
