Atleast four persons died on the spot, a minor and an infant succumbed to their injuries after a Santro Zinc collided with a wood laden bolero pick up yesterday late night near Chongkham area in Arunchal’s Namsai.

As per initial reports, the Santro car bearing registration number AS01T8555 was returning from a wedding party and was moving towards Chesing Wingko Village in Piyong Tehsil of Lohit district.

The vehicle while taking a U-turn skidded off the road and crashed with the goods vehicle killing at least 6 people and critically injuring two others. The incident took place near 2 Mile opposite to Poi Pee Mau ground. The injured have been rushed the Namsai hospital.

The identity of the deceased was not known till the filing of this news.

The Namsai police are investigating the matter.
