36 HSLC Examinees Expelled For Cheating Across Assam

As many as 36 students were caught cheating across the state on the first day of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC)/ Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA).

As many as 21 students were expelled in Dhubri while two in Darrang, one in Goalpara, five in Hailakandi, three in Lakhimpur and four in Nagaon district.

The SEBA announced that any student found engaging in malpractice during the ensuing HSLC/AHM examinations will be expelled for three years.

This year, 3,48,739 HSLC candidates and 9,707 AHM candidates would appear for the Class 10 board examination in 860 centres across the State.
