As many as three newly recruited National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) cadres of the G Bidai-Batha faction were apprehended in Kokrajhar on October 15th, 2019.

According to defence sources, joint teams of CI, Kachugaon and APR along with 12 Sikh LI Army, 210 Cobra laid ambush based on the receipt of intelligence inputs about the presence of militants at in Bamba area of Ripu RF along the Indo-Bhutan border. The three youths were apprehended while they were on their way to join the rebel outfit led by Batha.

The apprehended youths have been identified as Monjit Mushahary (38), Golap Mushahary (27) and Birswn Narzary (19). However, one managed to run away under the cover of darkness.

During the operation, huge cache of arms including one 7.65 mm Pistol, six Pistol Magazines, six live rounds were recovered. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is going on.
