Three hardcore cadres of an outlawed outfit ULFA-I have surrendered before the police in Tinsukia district of Assam.

The surrendered cadres have been identified as self-styled Sergent Major Nirav Handique alias Jaydeep Moran, Karunjyoti Chetia alias Uddipan Asom and Palash Das alias Latumoni Asom.

The cadres surrendered at an undisclosed location in presence of the troops of the Indian Army and the Tinsukia police. The three of them surrendered with 149 numbers of live bullets and the outfit’s camouflage uniforms.

The surrender came hours after two Myanmar trained cadres were arrested by the Tinsukia police on July 17th, 2019.
