
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on January 21st, 2020 evening recovered two gold bars weighing around 1.3 kg worth Rs 53 lakh from two passengers at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International(LGBI) airport.
As per reports, the passengers Nitin Sahu and Amit Mehra were about to board the 6E 433 flight. The CISF during a security checking recovered gold bars weighing 650 grams each from the duo. They were about to land in Mumbai.
Reports claimed that the consignment was recovered from the body cavity of Nitin Sahu and the other bar was spotted during a checking.
The recovered yellow metal items and the apprehended persons have been handed over to the customs department.
